Pablo’s career began in his family’s geriatric care small business, where he learned firsthand the challenges of scaling from zero to one. After graduating from Harvard, he returned as CEO and gained invaluable insight into growing service-based healthcare organizations with a focus on high-impact solutions.
He joined the hypergrowth journey at Wildfire Interactive in San Francisco, helping scale the company from 30 to 400 employees and from <$3M to $80M+ in recurring revenue before its $450M acquisition by Google. He later led a SaaS transition at HYFN through a strategic acquisition — giving him firsthand M&A experience from the inside (sell side).
Returning to healthcare, Pablo moved to Seattle when his wife, a Physician Associate, was accepted to the UW School of Medicine. With a mother in Gerontology and a father in clinical research, a commitment to improving care has been part of his life from the start. In Seattle, he served as COO at a startup, became the first Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Pioneer Square Labs, and later helped lead SEIU 775 Benefits Group — an ~275-person organization with a $300M annual budget — to improve outcomes for 55,000+ home care workers.
Most recently at Amazon, he spent five years in the Health division, vetting hundreds of health tech companies for investment or acquisition, executing three acquisitions, and contributing to Amazon’s pandemic response and subsequent health strategy (including the $3.9B One Medical acquisition). Today, he’s focused on being a dedicated steward of one great healthcare company.
